Gears & Shafts

Apax Products (India) presents a comprehensive range of gears and shafts to cater to the needs of various industries across the globe. Our range of gears and shafts includes Spur Gears, Helical Gears, Pinion Shafts, Lay Shafts and Clutch Shafts. The steel is produced from best source of alloy steels in India. The Steel procured is then converted into forgings as per design of the component. Forging capacity is upto 40 Kg.

The forgings procured are then subjected to machining to manufacture gears & shafts. First blank turning operation is CNC Turning Machine done followed by Teeth Cutting on Hobbing & Gear Shaper Machine.

Broaching is also done for Splines and Key Way wherever required. After that shaving operation is done on Shaving machine to give further accuracy & finish to gear. Then soft Gears & Shafts produced are subjected to Heat Treatment Process for required hardness through either Gas Carborizing Procedure or Induction Hardening Process as per specifications. Required Hardness as per range is maintained by checking it on Hardness Tester for every lot.

Also wherever required, Ground Gears are also produced. For that Gear Tooth Grinding is done on Gear Grinding Machine. Bore and Cylindrical Grinding machines are also there to add further precision.

To check the precision of products the company is also equipped with the various Guages and instruments like Flange Micrometers to check the MOT size and variation, PCD Bench Centre to check PCD Run Out, Gear Rols Tester to check TTE and TTCE, Profile Projector and various others to check required dimensions.
